Gervais School District Construction Update - September 2025

This fall has brought exciting progress for the Gervais School District as we continue moving forward with bond-funded improvements across our schools.

Middle School: A New Chapter Begins

In September, the District joined together with families, staff, and community members to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Middle School addition. Since then, early construction activities have begun.

The early work package includes:

  • Procuring essential electrical and mechanical equipment

  • Site improvements and erosion control measures

  • Installation of new safety signage around campus

Bidding for the Middle School Addition and Repairs will take place on October 16, 2025.

As construction activity increases, please be aware of traffic and noise impacts around the middle school. These are expected from late September 2025 through July 2026. KNCC, our construction partner, has placed safety signs throughout campus to help manage traffic and keep students safe.

Elementary School: Looking Ahead

Planning continues for the Summer 2026 bid package, which will be prepared in the coming months.

High School: Preparing for Improvements

At the high school, the focus is on upcoming gym HVAC improvements:

  • A pre-bid walk is scheduled this fall

  • The early work package will go out in October, with a November bid date

  • The Summer 2026 bid package is set to be released in December, with a January bid date

Bond work is progressing across the district, and we look forward to sharing more updates as construction milestones are reached.
